Tutors
All of our tutors are accredited professionals in their field of expertise. They have many years experience gained in industry and education and now work for 3Ls on a self–employed basis. We are always interested in hearing from people who can bring their knowledge to 3Ls in a teaching capacity. If you feel that you have skills that we can utilise, then call in for a chat. We are keen to increase the range and scope of the courses we offer our students, and so we are especially interested to hear from anyone with ideas that will expand our course catalogue.
Volunteers
We are an organisation that supports nearly 1000 mature students expand their learning and knowledge across 50+ courses and activities. All this is managed by only two paid staff. That means that the bulk of the administration is performed by volunteers. Without this voluntary effort this organisation would fold. Simple as that. We are always looking for support in this regard. If you think you could help for couple of hours a week, then please contact us to find out more. It’s a rewarding way of spending some time and making new friends too. Plus the coffee is free!
Trustees
Trustees are responsible for ensuring that a charity is financially sound, well run and complies with rules as described by the Charities Commission. However, it’s more than that. Trustees are responsible for ensuring that a charity keeps sight of its founding principles and ideals. This charity exists to help older members of our society keep active and continue learning for as long as possible. We exist to provide a friendship group that provides new interests, new friends and activities at a time in life when we can become isolated. If you have skills that can help us achieve our goals and you have time to donate please come and talk to us.
