Discover your ancestors.  Ideal for the beginner, using your family heritage, tutor guidance and group support we will bring your ancestors’ past lives to life.  We will explore the most common sources of evidence, such as birth, marriage and death records, the census, newspapers, the 1939 register, military records and DNA research to work with a family tree.  Whilst developing skills to break down brick walls, get organised, understand family connections and date your family photographs we will discover new wide ranging record collections and the most beneficial internet sites crucial to the beginner.  There will be advice on building a family tree and a local visit to a record office.
