The Industrial Revolution

From Wednesday 29 April 2026 to Wednesday 15 July 2026  |  Bebington Civic Centre

Course Details

250 years ago, Britain was still a largely agrarian society, within which most people earned their living directly from the land. Many lived in tiny communities interspersed with small country villages and towns; there existed only a handful of larger market towns and cities.

However, the Industrial Revolution brought about huge changes socially, culturally and economically. This course will not only historically consider such changes, but will also investigate how we still live with the consequence of these changes.
