A wide-ranging and accessible introduction to the history, literature and culture of Britain and Europe from the Wars of the Roses to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. We will look at the Tudors, France, Spain, Scotland, Italy, Germany, the Ottoman Empire, voyages of discovery, political, artistic and religious developments – and a lot more besides.
